It’s Father’s Day. A day of ties, golf, bbqs, and whatever dads like. Instead of gifts from my children, I want to give a gift to them, a gift they can pass on to their children. While I might not remember every gift I gave to my father on Father’s Day, I remember his advice. It is his gift, through me, I can pass to my children who are now parents. My son and daughter, and their families, are my most treasured thing I leave. My wish for them is to be ready and prepared…..
My responsibilities:
- If I died today, would my death hurt my loved ones financially?
- What are my long-term care plans? Are there adequate funds?
- Are there any investments I plan to share?
- Have I discussed how to share any personal effects, considerate of everyone’s wishes?
- Have I done comprehensive End-of-Life Planning?
My relationship with my children is one of the great joys of my life and has sustained me as I age. Every Father’s Day, I am more blessed to see the people they have become and their children growing. I wish the same for you and your loved ones, and encourage you to think about the above.
Please contact me so we can ensure you’ve planned well for your loved ones.
